MARINA WATSON

In "Nowhere to Call Home,"  I documented the harrowing lives of the Rohingya people—stateless and displaced. The Rohingya, a Muslim ethnic minority, are viewed by the government of Myanmar as foreign migrants, despite having lived there for generations. This photo essay follows several Rohingya individuals and families as they navigate the relentless struggle for survival and dignity in a world that has turned its back on them.

Through stark and moving imagery, this work captures the day-to-day reality of their lives as they strive to make a living and recount stories of their lost homes. The images shed light on the enduring strength of a people  known as the most persecuted minority in the world.
